The Fringe Radio Show with E.T. and AL-D

Each and every Monday night the Fringe Radio Show takes the airwaves on Radio Free Nashville to host and promote a wide variety of music. Check out our archives, which include programs dating back to 2013, or take a look back with us at some of the great Nashville talent that has appeared on the show during the month of August in years gone by: DJ Wigs & New Bang (2018), Quiet Entertainer (2018) & *repeat repeat (2014).

And while we’re at it, join us in taking a look back at some of the great Fringe-related events that have gone down during the month of August: Deep Fried 5, Dynamo, DeRobert & the Half-Truths, and Chris West & the JunkYard Horns at Exit/In (2014), Hide Your Mamas, Quiet Entertainer Orchestra, and Dilly Power at The End (2014), Imer Santiago at the Jazz Cave (2013), and Concurrence at Cafe Coco (2013).

The Captain Midnight Band has a new album out now titled Leisure Mgmt.: Live in Asheville.

Rashad ThaPoet has collaborated with The Beathead on a a new EP called He’s the Producer, I’m the Emcee.

Keep an ear out for “Bandits, Ballads, and Blues” which will be available soon from James Talley. 

Birdcage Boy, the new release from Andrew Adkins, will be available next month, with its first single and video dropping August 11.

And here are a few events to put on your calendar this month:

• Every Monday night the Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar is hosting the Mac Monday Jam with Corey Mac. The show goes live at 8pm.
• And every Thursday night at the Inglewood Lounge DJ Andrew Muller will go live with Funk Night Nashville.
• Monday, August 7 will see Sara Beck, Lauren Lucas and Kimberly Quinn present Lo-Fi Dolly, with Jon Byrd at The Basement.
• Thursday, August 10 will see Zip-Zapp w/ Afrokokoroot and John Condit at The Basement. 
• Head out to Cheekwood on Friday, August 11 for GLOWGA!
• Saturday, August 12 DRKMTTR will host a night of music with Flummox, Great Wide Nothing, Caregiver & Sun Streak.
• Friday, August 18 Kristina Murray, The Howdies + Domestic Bliss (Lilly Hiatt & Coley Hinson) will play The Basement.
• The Gripsweats will be playing the 5 Spot Saturday, August 19.
• Host Kelly Falzone & friends + Poems, Stories, & Songs will take over Art & Soul Nashville Friday, August 25.
• KDSML & Friends returns to The End Thursday, August 31.
