October 8, 2009: “Nashville Fringe Festival” Trademark Filing Date

June 21, 2010: Inaugural Nashville Fringe Festival events at Simon Ripley’s Music & Art, W.O. Smith Music School, and The Basement

August 24, 2010: “Nashville Fringe Festival” Trademark Registered

March 16, 2011: State of Tennessee Non-Profit status filed for Nashville Fringe Festival

January 8, 2012: IRS grants 501 (c) (3) status as a public charity. IRS makes March 16, 2011, the “effective date of exemption.”

April 10, 2013: Tennessee Department of Revenue Sales or Use Tax Exempt Status Granted

October 12, 2019: Renewal of Federal Service Mark Registration by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (extended through August 24, 2030)
