June 17: Jefferson Street Jazz & Blues Festival

Please join Friend of the Fringe Rahsaan Barber and Shannon Williford as they take the stage at the 2017 Jefferson Street Jazz & Blues Festival Saturday, June 17. Barber’s set (which will feature Kelli Cox on keys, Mike Rinne on bass, and Joshua Hunt on drums) is slated for 3:00pm while Williford (with Bentley Caldwell and Casey Lutton) will follow at 4:00pm with his tribute to Gregg Allman at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall Amphitheater. Nashville Jazz Orchestra It Aint Necessarily So

Jazz Music City Records and the Nashville Fringe Festival present the Nashville Jazz Orchestra, directed by trumpeter/composer Jim Williamson, along with the Jazz Music City All-Stars (featuring Rahsaan Barber, Imer Santiago, Bruce Dudley and Marcus Finnie). The NJO will be performing a special concert celebrating the release of “It Ain’t Necessarily So,” a dynamic big-band recording of music by the great George Gershwin.
