June 17: Jefferson Street Jazz & Blues Festival
Please join Friend of the Fringe Rahsaan Barber and Shannon Williford as they take the stage at the 2017 Jefferson Street Jazz & Blues Festival Saturday, June 17. Barber’s set (which will feature Kelli Cox on keys, Mike Rinne on bass, and Joshua Hunt on drums) is slated for 3:00pm while Williford (with Bentley Caldwell and Casey Lutton) will follow at 4:00pm with his tribute to Gregg Allman at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall Amphitheater. October 28: Nashville Jazz Orchestra at 3rd & Lindsley
Jazz Music City Records and the Nashville Fringe Festival present the Nashville Jazz Orchestra, directed by trumpeter/composer Jim Williamson, along with the Jazz Music City All-Stars (featuring Rahsaan Barber, Imer Santiago, Bruce Dudley and Marcus Finnie). The NJO will be performing a special concert celebrating the release of “It Ain’t Necessarily So,” a dynamic big-band recording of music by the great George Gershwin.
